VIPA Issues Cancryn Demolition Update
Demolition of the structures on the former Cancryn School site began June 24, 2026, and will take place Mondays through Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. No work will be conducted on Sundays or public holidays. The demolition project is anticipated to be completed by late September 2026.


VIPA Announces Strict Enforcement of No-Parking Regulations at Crown Bay Cargo Port Access Road Beginning June 1st
VIPA reminds the public that parking or staging of vehicles or equipment (trailers, ISO tanks, etc.) is not allowed along this road for safety reasons. Starting June 1, 2026, VIPA police officers will boot or tow any vehicles or equipment that violate the posted no-parking signs along the road.


VIPA Responds to Community Concerns Regarding Water Spirit Freight Services
The Water Spirit cargo vessel was recently prohibited from docking in Puerto Rico by the US Coast Guard and Puerto Rico Ports Authority. The VI Port Authority clarified that it has no jurisdiction over this matter.


VIPA Community Meeting - Harbor and Seaport Planning (CHART Project)
The Virgin Islands Port Authority invites the public to attend a series of community meetings focused on advancing and strengthening the resilience of the territory's cruise, cargo, and ferry seaports and harbors. The meetings are 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM May 5 St. Croix, May 6 St. Thomas and May 7 in St. John.
