Containerport to Close Temporarily on June 19th

[St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands] — The Wilfred “Bomba” Allick Port and Transshipment Center, also known as the Containerport, located in Krause Lagoon, St. Croix, will be temporarily closed on Thursday, June 19, 2025. This closure is a safety precaution to facilitate gas transfer from a tank that fell at the port today. The Containerport will be closed starting at 8 a.m. and is expected to reopen by 2 p.m. VIPA apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and thanks the public for its patience.
