The Virgin Islands Port Authority announced today that the airports and seaports in the U.S. Virgin Islands are open with normal operations. VIPA is monitoring an approaching tropical storm as it nears the region.

Airports
The Henry E. Rohlsen Airport (STX) and Cyril E. King Airport (STT) are both open. VIPA has not received any flight cancellation reports today.Â
Fly the Whale’s last flight from St. Thomas to St. Croix will be around 3:50 p.m. tomorrow, August 13.
Travelers should contact their airlines directly with questions regarding their scheduled flights.

Cruise Ships
All cruise ship calls scheduled for Monday through Thursday have been canceled in St. Thomas and St. Croix.
The Rhapsody of the Seas ship has rescheduled its visit to St. Croix and will arrive on Saturday, August 17th.
Interisland Ferry Service
The Native Son Ferry’s last departure from St. Thomas to the British Virgin Islands today will be at 4:30 p.m.
The QEIV ferry operates today with service between St. Thomas and St. Croix. It departed at 11 a.m. from St. Thomas and will arrive at 1 p.m. in St. Croix. There are no scheduled trips this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
All other ferry and barge services between St. Thomas, St. John, and Water Island are operating as normal today.

Charlotte Amalie Harbor Industry Day Still Scheduled
The Charlotte Amalie Harbor Industry Day to discuss the harbor dredging project will be held tomorrow, August 13 at noon as scheduled. Interested persons can attend the meeting in person at the VIPA Administrative Building Conference Room in St. Thomas.
