The Lindbergh Bay Park was reopened in February 2022.  The park is located on St. Thomas adjacent to the Cyril E. King Airport and was built by the Port Authority in 1999. It provides a relaxing location for families to spend quality, outdoor time together. In 2000, a water playground was added to the park. A series of colorful water systems with a safe, padded surface is an ideal alternative to the beach to pass away the hot Caribbean days with family and friends.

Amenities at the park include the water playground, a swing set, a children's play area with a padded surface, a volleyball/tennis court, an exercise system, a domino table, picnic tables, a shed, and a gazebo, benches, and restrooms.

Hours of Operation:

  • Open sunrise to sunset daily to the public free of charge.

  • The shed, gazebo, and waterpark may be reserved for a fee and requires a signed permit issued by the Virgin Islands Port Authority for exclusive use for an event.

Rental Rates for Shed and/or Gazebo:

The gazebo and/or shed at the park may be reserved for a special event for a fee:

​

  • Shed alone..............$100 per day

  • Gazebo alone..........$100 per day

  • Reserve both the shed and gazebo..........$200 per day

RESERVING THE PARK'S SHED AND GAZEBO

A signed permit issued by the Virgin Islands Port Authority is required for:

  • Exclusive use of the gazebo and/or shed for any organized function.  Important: The park's facilities (water park, play areas, uncovered picnic tables, restrooms, etc.) are open to the public.  Only the gazebo and the shed may be reserved for private use.

  • Use of the gazebo and/or shed before sunrise or after sunset.

  • Use of the park's general play area before sunrise or after sunset.

  • Users of the gazebo/shed and uncovered picnic areas are responsible for cleaning their area after use.

LINDBERGH BAY FAMILY PARK RULES AND REGULATIONS

The park is provided as an amenity to our community. Please help us keep the park clean and safe by adhering to our park regulations so that all users of the park may have an equally enjoyable experience.

​

  • No loud music.

  • No balloons (helium)

  • No electric generators.

  • No use of electricity from the park site or automobiles.

  • No use of water from the park site.

  • No removal of plants, flowers, or coconuts from the park.

  • No climbing trees in the park.

  • No sale of any items, vending, or commercial activities.

  • No erecting tents, tarpaulins, toddler pools or bouncers.

  • No animals.

  • No littering.

  • No disposal of household trash.

  • No alcoholic beverages.

  • No propane (gas) operated grills (must be coal operated).

  • No bike riding on any paved areas and/or the volleyball court.

  • No additional chairs or tables in the uncovered picnic areas.

  • Users of the gazebo/shed and uncovered picnic areas are responsible for cleaning their area after use.

Our water playground at Lindbergh Bay is a fun and wet way to beat the tropical island heat.  We would love to host you, your family, or a small party at our facility.  However, we do have a few rules we would like you to know before your arrival:​

NOTICE: The water playground is temporarily closed for repairs from June 1, 2023, until further notice. Only the sheds can be reserved for events.

​

  • Payment must be made in advance to use the waterpark or to reserve the sheds at the park.

  •  Tickets are not sold at Lindbergh Bay Park.

  • Monday - Wednesday......10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  • Thursday - Friday..............CLOSED

  • Saturday............................10 a.m. to  5 p.m.​

  • Sunday..............................12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Holidays............................12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Groups or Parties by Appointment Only:

  • Monday - Wednesday..........10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Fees, for a duration of 30 minutes:

  • Children ages 17 and Under.................$5 each

  • Adults age 18 and over.........................$5 each

  • Groups/Schools/Parties.........................$60 minimum purchase - NO REFUNDS.  A total of 20 tickets will be issued.  For more information about planning group parties, call 340-774-1629 during regular business hours.

  • Children under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult.  Any adult may accompany a paying child(ren) into the waterpark for free if the adult does not use the waterpark.

Lindbergh Bay Beach
St. Thomas

Lindbergh Bay beach is one of the most beautiful, public beaches in the U.S. Virgin Islands.  It is located directly across from the Cyril E. King Airport and in close proximity to the Emerald Beach Resort and the Lindbergh Bay Hotel.  

​

This beach is managed jointly by the VI  Department of Parks and Recreation and the Virgin Islands Port Authority.  While the beach is open and free to use, we ask that you please adhere to our rules posted at the beach and please do not litter.  All parties and events at the beach must be approved by the Port Authority. The Virgin Islands Port Authority (VIPA) and the U.S.V.I. Department of Sports, Parks, and Recreation (SPR) implemented new regulations to use Lindbergh Bay Beach, effective June 27, 2020. The guidelines will help ensure the safety and comfort of beachgoers and the traveling public.

 

Hours of Operation

  • The beach will operate from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. 

  • There is NO FEE to enter and use the beach.

  • A VIPA permit is required for groups of over 15 people to host an event or a beach party and a deposit may be required.  Contact VIPA’s Property Management Office for a permit at (340) 774-2132 or via e-mail at property_mgmt@viport.com.

The following are prohibited on the beach:

  • No glass bottles

  • No destruction of buildings, trees, plants, or shrubbery

  • No firearms or weapons

  • No generators without a VIPA-issued permit

  • No jet skis within the swim zone

  • No littering or dumping of any personal trash

  • No live bands, DJs, or amplified music

  • No metal detectors

  • No nudity - bathing suit required

  • No open flames

  • No pets (except registered service dogs with designation)

  • No removal of sand or shells

  • No soliciting

  • The speed limit in the parking area is 10 miles per hour

​

VIPA has posted signage with the new rules at the entrances on Lindbergh Bay Beach.  VIPA Law Enforcement Officers and the VI Police Department’s officers will also monitor the beach.  VIPA and SPR appreciate the public's cooperation to ensure that all beachgoers enjoy their experience at Lindbergh Bay Beach.
