[St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands] — The Gallows Bay Marine Facility in Christiansted, St. Croix has reopened at 3:30 p.m. today. The port was closed shortly after noon as a safety precaution due to an accident involving a gas tank on the dock earlier this morning. Inspections conducted by the Virgin Islands Port Authority, the Virgin Islands Fire and Emergency Services, the U.S. Coast Guard, and Antilles Gas confirmed that the facility is now safe for normal operations.
