Notice of Public Hearing - VIPA Marine Tariff Amendments to Fees for Cruise Ships Berthing in the St. Thomas/St. John District

The Virgin Islands Port Authority will host a public hearing to discuss proposed amendments to its marine tariff cruise ship fees charged in the St. Thomas/St. John district. The public is invited to attend in person or via Zoom.

Location: VIPA Administrative Building, Third Floor Conference Room, 8074 Lindbergh Bay, St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands



Proposed Fee Amendments:


  • Increase wharfage fees by 44 cents per passenger for cruise ships entering St. Thomas. This increase will fund VIPA marine operations and expenses.

  • Increase ship dues by $3 per passenger for cruise ships entering St. Thomas to fund the Charlotte Amalie Harbor Dredging Project 

  • Both fees will be effective no later than April 2025.
