The Grandeur of the Seas Cancels Visit to St. Croix Due to Inclement Weather

The Virgin Islands Port Authority received notice this morning that Royal Caribbean’s Grandeur of the Seas has canceled its scheduled visit to St. Croix today due to rough seas and inclement weather conditions at the port of Frederiksted. The Grandeur of the Seas is a Vision-class ship with a capacity of 2,446 passengers and 760 crew.

Once weather conditions permit, the Voyager of the Seas is scheduled to call on Frederiksted tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The inaugural visit of Virgin Voyages’ Valiant Lady to St. Croix is also scheduled for November 9. Cruise schedules for the U.S. Virgin Islands are posted on VIPA’s website, www.viport.com.
