Operating Drones in the U.S. Virgin Islands
Drone use is allowed in the United States Virgin Islands with the approval of the Federal Aviation Administration. Operators must adhere to all FAA rules and regulations regarding drone use.

Request Permission to Fly Your Drone

The Virgin Islands Port Authority and the aircraft control tower employees at its airports can not issue approval to operate drones in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

​Per federal law (IAW FAA Order JO7200.23a, Chapter 4, Part 107, UAS operations, Section 3a), a Part 107 operator (Certificated Remote Pilots including Commercial Operators) must visit the FAA OAS website www.faa.gov/uas and obtain approval from the Federal Aviation Administration to request permission to operate drones in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
