The Virgin Islands Port Authority offers
the majority of its properties in both the aviation and marine
division for lease. Aviation properties include terminal spaces
(offices, counters and concessions), cargo warehousing, and general
aviation-related spaces. Marine properties include unimproved spaces
for warehousing and passenger facility spaces (offices, counters and
concessions) and many more.
All
requests to lease property, establish a concession or to obtain
permits to use VIPA's facilities should be made in writing to the
attention of the property manager. Note that requests to use VIPA's
facilities free of charge to sponsor an event should be
directed to the public relations office. Please call (340) 774-1629

Application Procedure:
- Submit a written request along
with an application form. Applications can be obtained from the
Property Management Department.
- You can hand deliver your
application, or mail it to the address listed below. Please be
sure to include all the required documents listed on the
application's checklist.
- Application Fee (Effective 01 Nov. 2008):
-- $75 for existing tenants
-- $150 for new tenants.
What Happens Next:
- The Property Manager and her
staff will review the application. If approved, it will be
forwarded to VIPA's Governing Board Lease Committee.
- The Lease Committee reviews
the application and makes a recommendation to the Board of
Directors, who will make a final decision on the
application.
- The Executive Director will
then advise applicants in writing of the Board's decision
and of any additional information needed to complete the
agreement.

Port Authority Lindbergh Bay Park and Water
Playground - Rental Procedures
The Lindbergh Bay
Park, located on St. Thomas adjacent to the Cyril E.
King Airport, was constructed in 1999. The park
provides residents a relaxing location for families
to spend quality, outdoor time together. Amenities
at the park include a swing set, a children's play
area with a padded surface, a volleyball/tennis
court, an exercise system, a domino table, picnic
tables, benches and restrooms. In 2000, a water
playground was added to the park. A series of
colorful water systems with a safe, padded surface
is an ideal alternative to the beach to pass away
the hot Caribbean days with family and friends.

Renting
Facilities at the Lindbergh Bay Park:
The park
(including the water park, play areas,
uncovered picnic tables, restrooms) are
always open to the public. However, persons
interested in reserving the gazebo and/or
shed at the park for a special event may
have exclusive use of them for a fee of $75
per day for each ($150 for both). A permit
is required for:

Exclusive use of the gazebo and/or shed
for any organized function

Use of
the gazebo and/or shed before sunrise or
after sunset
-
Use of
the park before sunrise or after sunset

Lindbergh Bay
Park Rules and Regulations:
The
following are prohibited:

Loud
music
-
Electric generators
-
Use
of electricity from the park site or
automobiles

Removal of plants, flowers or
coconuts from the park

Climbing trees
-
Sale
of any items, vending or commercial
activities

Erecting tents or tarpaulin

Animals
-
Use
of water from the park site
-
Littering
-
Disposing of household trash
-
Alcoholic beverages
-
No
propane (gas) operated grills (must
be coal operated)

No
bike riding on any paved areas
and/or the volleyball court
-
Additional chairs or tables in the
uncovered picnic areas.

Users of the gazebo/shed and
uncovered picnic areas are
responsible for cleaning their area
after use.

Bourne Field
Housing
The Bourne Field
Housing Community, located adjacent to the Cyril E. King Airport on
St. Thomas, was constructed during the 1960’s on 8.84 acres as
barracks for naval officers and their families. The V.I. Port
Authority now manages the property and currently leases 40
apartments to Port employees and other residents. As per VIPA Board
policy the V.I. Port Authority is no longer accepting new
applications for rentals at Bourne Field.
