VIPA TO CONDUCT SIMULATED EMERGENCY DRILL AT CEKA
The Virgin Islands Port Authority will be conducting a simulated emergency drill at the Cyril E. King Airport on Tuesday, October 23, 2018. The drill is conducted to test the viability of the airport’s emergency response plan, the roles and responsibilities of mutual aid partners, response times, available resources and inter-operability. This drill is also a requirement to maintain the airport’s certification under the Federal Aviation Administration’s Code of Federal Regulations Section 14 part 139.
The media is invited to provide coverage of the event and must present press credentials by 9 a.m. at the Isiah Phillips Fire Station located on the north ramp of the King Airport (adjacent to the VI Police Department’s Special Operations Bureau Command “Zone B”).
